Don Johnston Car: ITS #8 BMW 325is Don started out racing Motocross in the 70's & 80's After that Don kept busy starting his Photo career. He always had an interest in Auto racing, but was always behind the lens. He got hooked in Auto racing in 2001 when his father in Law (Vern Roberts) invited him out to the local Road Racing track (Waterford hills) for the fun run. Don drove his Street BMW M3 to his first win. He was hooked. That winter he purchased a fully race prepared 1987 BMW 325 and Went thru Drivers school in the spring of 2002 with his wife Dorothy. After completing the 2002 season Don received his Full Comp Drivers license. Don Competed at various races through out the 2003 season with great success. He finished out the season by competing at the prestigious American Road Race of Champions (ARRC) at Road Atlanta The 2004 racing season has been very successful for Johnston image Racing. Don Has had several wins and after 5 race weekends is the leader in ITS point's championship at Waterford Hills |
